Last year 2008 has been a controvert year for LEYENDA, with sad and greateful news at the same time. It began with the intention to compose the new thrid official album, but soon the band had the opportunity to share another gig, this time with DRAGONSLAYER. The tour was announced to start in March, but at the end of January the first problem arises. Ivanhoe, drummer, can not afford continuing in the band because of external problems. Some weeks before the tour, Alfonso "Fleky" comes into the band as an earthquake. Shows in Zaragoza, Valencia, Bilbao, Barcelona, Madrid and Alicante, a great experience with Dragonslayer bandmates and again problems. In August, Davebass, original member of LEYENDA, says goodbye to the band because personal and familiar decision. Then, in October, Alejandro R. Hervás, good and vocational bass player, joins the project. LEYENDA signs with the record label PICAP for the edition of the next 3 albums. The band continues the composition of the album that was stopped at the beggining of 2008. These days the album is ready to be recorded and in a few weeks the band will enter the studio.
On the other hand, LEYENDA Friend Club continues strong, more than ever, with more than 200 registered friends from all over the world (but especially Spain, of course), with more than 1300 themes, 65000 messages and 80 each day. The Myspace has reached more than 1000 friends and 30000 visits, and the official website www.leyendarock.net is the fundamental entry point for LEYENDA information.
More than 13 years working hard, slowly, silently, but safe. With 1 demo as Infernal, 3 as LEYENDA, 2 official albums with 2 different record companies, hundreds of live shows, 3 national tours, a lot of time consuming and human consuming problems. Antonio S. Montemayor is the only former member of the band still in it. However, the band is now stronger than ever, with experience and friendship. For this reason, this new year will be a great one for LEYENDA, and we wnat to wish you a happy new 2009. Thanks for your support!

We proudly announce that LEYENDA has signed a new record contract with PICAP (www.picap.com). We remind that LEYENDA's first record label was PIES, who released "Quintaesencia" in 2005. Next, Akeloo released the second LP "A Medianoche" in 2007, and now PICAP will release LEYENDA's new records.
There haven´t been much movement around this section during the last months. This is just by the fact that LEYENDA's beeing working hard with their agreement with PICAP, searching new bass player, and entering to the final steps of the pre-production of their new album, which will be released in Spring 2009.

We are proud to announce our new colleague, Alejandro R. Hervás, as new bass player. He is from Madrid, obsessed by the music itself and in love by the bass instrument, Alejandro comes into the band with full energy.

It has been passed a long time since no news about the band. A Spring tour around Spain with colleagues Dragonslayer has consumed most of the time of the band. Afterwards, personal and professional compromises have altered the traditional LEYENDA lifestyle. However, we want to state that LEYENDA has started the composition of its upcoming third album, although there is no title or set list in advance. At the same time, the band is scheduling some puntual performances that will take place before the end of 2008, and that they will be advertised at the right moment. Approaching to August, and with the mind in the all wished vacations, LEYENDA wants you a comfortable rest, and let the rock walk along your path. For those more active, we invite you to participate in the LEYENDA Friend Club, LEYENDA's most histrionic, familiar and active place reserved for its friends.

David, bassist, has travelled to Brasil to get married and see the birth of his new daughter, Valentina, that was born last 9th January in the city of Novo Hamburgo, South Brasil. Just after that he got married with his Brasilian girldfriend, Alessandra. The ceremony was hold in Cafe do Lago, Porto Alegre, last February 1st. Now, David is incorporating to the band in order to prepare the inminent new tour.

Great year 2007 for LEYENDA. It was the release of A MEDIANOCHE, the 2nd studio album. New friends have been added to our great family, new sounds, new horizons and 2008 will be again a very good year. Full of experiences, full of music, full of LEYENDA. Like past years, all we can say is: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! STAY WITH US!!

The project, Bajel, comes to the final stage. It has been announced the downloadable promo release from the URL: http://www.bajelmetal.com/promo.rar. The song is called "El Peso de una Traición" and it is featured by singers Daniel Milán (FURIA ANIMAL), Ruben Garcerá (HELDAR), Pablo Enriquez (AZTRA) and the guitarist Pablo García (WARCRY). Keep in mind that Bajel is an opera rock about the book "Mares de Leyenda" (Seas of Legend), with collaborations of Spanish musicians from bands like LEYENDA, RENACER, WARCRY, HELDAR, FURIA ANIMAL, LUJURIA, AZTRA, RENACER, SAUROM, ABYSS, DARKSUN, CRISIS DE FE, SIDERAL, ADAGIUM and HANAKEN. In particular, Antonio S. Montemayor (LEYENDA) gives his voice to a pirate in the fourth song of the album, "El Granada".
